Grand Carpets story. Our family
has been in the flooring business since the mid 1960's serving the local
community with quality residential and commercial carpeting along with
many other flooring solutions. Meeting many new and exciting event
professionals from the Northeast led the business to catering to their
special events with carpet installs in New York City and surrounding
areas. At a family event we learned through discussion there was
a great demand locally for bound event carpeting and focused on how we
could offer customers around the globe a high quality product at an
affordable solution through the internet. In time this led us to an even more
exciting challenge and rewarding experience. In 2001 we were in the
learning stages of offering products online with sales dedicated to area
rugs from our first internet website, All About Rugs. Though sales were
going very well selling area rugs online, running the website was a
difficult task due to constant upgrades and discontinued manufacture lines
along with constant price increases. This not only discouraged us but we
could not completely satisfy all our customers with the products they were
requesting. A change of direction was now in the works. We continued
running the All About Rugs website and carefully planned a launch of a new
internet business dedicated to offering colorful lush bound event carpet
runners to customers around the world. Thus Karen McCance announced a plan
and the name of our new website, GrandCarpets.com The launch of Grand
Carpets was soon underway and in 2004 we establish internet presence with
a few popular color selections that were in big demand for celebrity &
feature events. Soon we were receiving phone calls inquiring about our red
carpet and if we offered the same event carpets that were used at major
events. Our answer was YES we do along with a more affordable price than
